Welcome to live in the well-known local artist Reuben Hedin's house in beautiful Virserum. Reuben put Virserum on the art map through his works, his founding of the art association and the art school.

The house is fresh and truly preserved in its original condition in an eclectic style, which gives a very homely and personal feeling. Living here is like taking part in a piece of local history and there is so much to rest your eyes on.

Here you live in the heart of Småland in beautiful Virserum, a vibrant village that offers lakes and nature. Beautiful bathing places in Virserum are at Kaffetorpet's bathing place and in the Holiday Village. Here you will find most everything you could possibly need and much to discover.

There are plenty of cafes and flea markets in the surrounding area. In Virserum's beautiful art gallery, which is just a short walk from the house, there is a mural by Reuben Hedin. There is also a furniture museum, a telemuseum, a café and an herb garden.

Within about 45-60 minutes by car you will find Astrid Lindgren's World and a number of filming locations for Astrid Lindgren's films, such as Lönneberga, Bullerbyn, Astrid Lindgren's childhood home and Filmbyn.

If you want the sea, the East Coast is only a 50-minute drive away, perfect for a day trip.

Dackestupet offers mountain bike trails and trail running of varying difficulty. Mountain bikes are also available for rent. Bring a picnic basket to the viewpoint and enjoy the wonderful view over the lake. There are also wonderful hiking trails around Virserumssjön and Hjortensjön.
